FOR TODAY

Outside my window… the ground is saturated with recently melted snow.

I am thinking…
about Quiet Time.  Hoorah.

I am thankful…
for our change to adding evening service to our Sundays.  It’s extra work, but will be, I think, worth it.

In the kitchen…
the dishwasher needs empty after I ran it this morning.

I am wearing…
brown skirt, striped blouse and brown shawl.

I am creating… systems based on Mystie’s Paperless Home Organization Book.  Love it.

I am going… to shoo a child downstairs for Quiet Time.

I am wondering… how much shooing it will take.

I am reading… The same things, I think.  The Shaping of a Christian Family, a Ben Reese Mystery, Spiritual Mothering.  School reading is different 🙂

I am hoping… to post more about last week and this coming week.

I am looking forward to… craft night tomorrow at church.

I am learning… about Elisabeth Elliot’s family.

Around the house… there’s laundry to fold and floors to vacuum.

I am pondering… my grocery list.

A favorite quote for today…

Our homes are subject to daily wear and tear as well as long-term decay. We have to stay on top of it, constantly cleaning and renewing, straightening and scrubbing. In the same way, our hearts are subject to daily distractions and disobedience. They need constant tidying, constant oversight, especially if Christ is residing in our hearts.
Daily renewal means seeking Him daily, keeping His residence in order. Renewal means asking His Holy Spirit to fill us and convict us of sin (which is like pointing out the garbage behind the fridge). Renewal enables us to live in a manner worthy of the One Who has taken up residence. –Nancy Wilson

One of my favorite things… watching the BBC Pride and Prejudice … I watched part today because it’s the 200th anniversary of the book’s publication.

A few plans for the rest of the week…
lessons, the play of The Little Prince, soccer, quiet things in general.

A peek into my day…
