FOR TODAY

Outside my window… it was a dark and snowy night ….

I am thinking…
about seeing and perceiving.

I am thankful…
for my new little nephew!

In the kitchen…
we enjoyed pasta and eggplant for dinner.  Thankful for Trader Joe’s frozen eggplant on a cold, snowy night.

I am wearing…
black sweatsuit and Buckeye shirt.  And the red blanket.

I am creating… I don’t know, but my friend Mystie says I’m an artisan.  I like that.

I am going… to bed soon.  It’s getting late and I want to read a little.

I am wondering… how this week will go.

I am reading… the final Ben Reese mystery (for now).  Sad.

I am hoping… to blog about A Child’s Geography.  We really liked it!

I am looking forward to… the first Titus 2 group meeting on Wednesday.  I should do my reading.  I should also prepare to teach Bible Study on Thursday.  Hm.

I am learning…

Around the house… Hm.  I should fold some laundry.

I am pondering… intrinsic vs. extrinsic rewards vs. God’s “Well done” and man’s desire for honor.  I’ve been listening to CiRCE talks again …

A favorite quote for today… from theologian Herman Bavinck:

We as human beings can make a distinction between the being and the attributes of people. A human being can lose his arm or his leg, or in a state of sleep or illness, lose consciousness, without ceasing to be human. But in God this is impossible. His attributes coincide with His being. Every attribute is His being. He is wise and true, not merely, good and holy, just and merciful, but He *is* also wisdom, truth, goodness, holiness, justice, and mercy. Hence He is also the source and fount of all the attributes of man. He *is* everything that He *possesses* and is the source of everything that creatures possess. He is the abundant source of all goods.

One of my favorite things… Trader Joe’s frozen eggplant.  Great for a last minute “what are we having for dinner” emergency.

A few plans for the rest of the week…
Bible Study, Titus 2, soccer …

A peek into my day…
I really should start taking some pictures again.
