Memory Work for the week of … February 4, 2013
Bible: continuing in Philippians 2. Adding verses 12-13.
Catechism/Creed: A new month and we switch to The Apostle’s Creed. M-girl continues her 4 page per day review, N-boy is working on the questions regarding Baptism, R-girl continues on the 3rd and 4th Commandments.
Hymn: We’re adding ‘Ah, Holy Jesus, How Hast Thou Offended.’ Shockingly, I didn’t have that as an mp3 already, but found one here.
Covenantal Catechism: Starting Lesson 4. Let Max McLean read Genesis 3 for me today.
Poetry: The older two are completing Jabberwocky and R-girl is starting The Duke of Plaza Toro. She’s catching up!
Counting: Working on counting by 8s.
History: We continue adding a card a day. The children actually seem to enjoy seeing the cards and are picking up the information well.
Science: just review.
Geography: started learning the Mexico Song.
Latin: Added the Edo song.
Reading: Poetry for Young People Robert Frost, Tina Packer’s Tales from Shakespeare Othello, and continue working on Opal Wheeler’s Story of Peter Tchaikovsky.
