FOR TODAY

Outside my window… it is still quite dark.

I am thinking… about calling up to the children who are still abed.

I am thankful… for y extended family and the fun day we had yesterday; wish more of them could have been there!

I am wearing… exercise clothes for pilates.

I am creating… lesson plans for my kiddos.

I am going… to our first CM group meeting tonight! I can’t wait!

I am wondering… if I’ll have all my homework done. I’m getting closer …

I am reading… the last bit of For The Children’s Sake Chapter 2.  Then to CM herself.

I am hoping… to get a chance to read today during school and quiet time.

I am looking forward to… learning more. I currently question everything.

I am learning… about children being persons.

Around the house… there’s plenty to do.

I am pondering… Pastor Kessler’s series of sermons about Christian Behavior.  So very good, and so not what you think of from the title of the series. There is not legalism here.

A favorite quote for today…

A few plans for the rest of the week… basketball, music lessons, CM night. All fun stuff!

A peek into my day… pictures from my birthday … beignets and grownup root beer. Doesn’t get better than that!

  1. I have never heard of hard root beer! I will have to ask my husband to look into that, since he homebrews both beer and root beer. 🙂

And I don't think I've ever had a beignet, either.

I hope you have a great week!

    1. The root beer could be dangerous … I could drink a lot of it because it tastes like root beer …

We had beignets at Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans on our honeymoon. That's kind of the home of them. The ones we had on Saturday are better and would only be improved by eating them next to the Mississippi River … Our server said the owner of the restaurant is from NO and that's why there are several references to that cuisine, but it is all delicious and authentic.

      Thanks, you too!

    1. We are. It is our first meeting. Even better, it is all my friends who do art together and we all go to church together!

  2. Never heard of that root beer either, and have never had beignets. Your photo of them look oh so yummy!! Have a great week!
