The Simple Woman’s Daybook for September 21, 2015
For Today… Monday, September 21, 2015
Outside my window…. my children and Anna’s children are playing in the yard. It has been fun to have Anna and the children here today.
I am thinking… about worldviews and founding documents and revolutions. Oh my. Sunday School is fun this quarter 🙂
I am thankful… for fun with friends and that we could all get some school done separately in the same house.
I am wearing… a long sleeved magenta top and jeans shorts. I love this weather.
I am creating… dinner in the crockpot. Trying a new recipe: Smoked Sausage Cassoulet. Fun!
I am going… to the fair later this week! Yay! I love the County Fair.
I am wondering… if I’ll get my homework done this week … I have Titus 2 group one night, Women Counseling Women one night, and Charlotte Mason group next Monday. Aside from the rest of our crazy schedule (here’s last week’s example!)
I am reading… Consider This (I really want to finish!) and Teaching from Rest (I really need to continue!)
I am hoping… to accomplish the work set before me. I need to keep thinking about what I learned when I wrote that!
I am learning… about the work of the heart and how that plays out in our lives. This counseling class is so good.
In my kitchen… that cassoulet. I made Cook’s Illustrated’s Macaroni and Cheese for lunch. Bagels out of the freezer for tomorrow’s breakfast. Busy Busy kitchen right now.
In my garden… we picked that tomato and there’s another ripening. Pretty excited!
A favorite quote for today… “Our liberties do not come from charters; for these are only the declaration of pre-existing rights. They do not depend on parchments or seals; but come from the King of Kings and the Lord of all the earth.”
John Dickinson. Pastor shared this during Sunday School yesterday, I love it.A peek into one of my days… Jason and our new dog at yesterday’s family reunion.
From the board room… I really should look at these monthly boards at the *beginning* of the month …
Post Script… Karen – the awesome blogger at living, unabridged – posted her 25+ Must Read Homeschool Blogs. So many good blogs … and so many I don’t know. She, very kindly, included ladydusk, but don’t let that dissuade you from checking out the others! Her Weekend Web Wandering posts every Saturday are some of my favorite posts each week because she culls carefully and shares only her best reads of the week.
Linking up with The Simple Woman.
Loving Mystie's "Work the Plan!" 🙂
Yes! So good!
