FOR TODAY

Outside my window… flurries!

I am thinking…
about taking down the Christmas village.  I forgot to take it down last year, but it’s time.

I am thankful…
for the work that was accomplished over the weekend.  It feels good to have the loft cleaned up and useable.

In the kitchen…
the dishwasher is running with yesterday’s few dishes and breakfast dishes.

I am wearing…
jammies and OBX sweatshirt.

I am creating… new habits.  It’s hard to teach an old girl new tricks …

I am going… to drink more water today.

I am wondering… at God’s promises and how we can trust in them.  Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.

I am reading… The next Ben Reese; Pocketful of Pinecones; and Elisabeth Elliot’s Shaping of a Christian Family.

I am hoping… to finish a couple of these this week.

I am looking forward to… our new (to us) desks being installed in the loft!

I am learning… to love.

Around the house… the Christmas decorations need put away.  Hope to accomplish that today.

I am pondering… yesterday’s sermons.

A favorite quote for today… “‘Half the misery in the world comes from trying to look, instead of trying to be, what one is not.'” Sally S Wright in Out of the Ruins

One of my favorite things… Ben Reese books 🙂

A few plans for the rest of the week…
school, work, soccer, piano.

A peek into my day…

    1. They're just counter pieces laid across filing cabinets. The cabinets are from my parents, the desk pieces are from the Habitat reStore.
