The Simple Woman’s Daybook for January 19, 2015
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it is still dark.
I am thinking… about all the things in Mark’s account of Jesus feeding the 5000 that I would have never thought of without last night’s fantastic sermon.
I am thankful… for pastors who carefully study and preach the Word.
In the kitchen… coffee is waiting me. I purchased muffins for the kids for breakfast. They’re huge! They might have them for breakfast and mid-morning snack.
I am wearing… still in my pajamas, but need to get dressed soon.
I am creating… a menu plan and grocery list. I was looking at the week’s calendar last night.
I am going… to Whole Foods. I hope.
I am wondering… if our second week will be as good as our first was.
I am reading… The Bible. Trying to catch up on my Bible reading plan. Still. [sigh]
I am hoping… that Jason gets over this nasty cold soon. He sounds awful and feels awful. Poor guy.
I am looking forward to… settling into our routine.
I am learning … the same things. About CM EdPhil, Habits, and Narration. I’m also thankful for the ladies at the AO Forum. What a fantastic resource!
Around the house… we need to do some straightening up and ironing. Still.
I am pondering… How God pushes us past our endurance, yet provides for and satisfies all of our needs in that work. Part of last night’s sermon.
A favorite quote for today… “The Ohio State University is National Champions!” Still enjoying that win 🙂
One of my favorite things… that my husband can work from home when he’s sick. I’m glad I can take care of him.
A few plans for the rest of the week … school, basketball practice & games, piano & organ lessons. Just a normal week, you know?
A peek into my day… Jason’s office Christmas party was Friday night. At the Blue Jackets. We had a blast even though we don’t know much about hockey and they lost.

I hope you have another great week! 🙂 Never been to a hockey game before.
If today is any indication, it will be!
Hockey is vastly superior in person. On TV it isn't really watchable IMO.
You rise early and get about your day. I too am looking forward in getting back into a routine…doesn't it make the biggest difference in our days and weeks?
Sadly, it's still dark at 7 AM right now. I wasn't up very early. I'm trying for 6:30, but it is usually 6:45. New goals …
