The Simple Woman’s Daybook for May 9, 2011

FOR TODAY   May 9, 2011 …

Outside my window… sun, blue skies, 70-or-so-degrees.  Doesn’t get much better than this, folks!

I am thinking… about The Organized Heart and Your Home: A Place of Grace (review later this week)  The chapters of Your Home I read today mesh beautifully, helping to replace the idolatry diagnosed in former with proper submission to God’s glory in the latter.

I am thankful for… God’s Word which diagnoses and prescribes.

From the learning rooms… we’re learning about the Assyrians and Gilgamesh this week.

From the kitchen… Tamale Pie in the oven to eat before soccer and t-ball.

I am wearing… denim shorts (!) and a peachy-orange eyelet blouse.

I am creating… nothing much.  Notes for book club on Wednesday.

I am going… soccer and t-ball and tumbling. (Oh, my!)

I am reading… Your Home: A Place of Grace and Acedia & Me.

I am hoping… the weather remains this nice for several days.

I am hearing… Rachmaninoff on the cable classical channel.

Around the house… things look pretty nice.  I should try to vacuum sometime today.

One of my favorite things… 70-some degree weather with bright blue skies!

A few plans for the rest of the week: book club and Shepherding visit from our pastor & elder.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… my brother took this yesterday:

  1. That's a great pic! R-girl looks so grown up though. 🙁 Since your house is clean, can you come clean mine? 🙂

  2. As much as I'd like to, I'd rather watch your kids! Want to bring 'em over? Besides, I'm pretty sure my definition of "clean" is not the same as yours 😉
