The Simple Woman’ Daybook for February 7, 2011

FOR TODAY   February 7, 2011 (I’m 38 today!) …

Outside my window… dreary and grey and snowing … we’re supposed to get another 1-2 inches.

I am thinking… about garden plans … what do I want to plant? What do I want to start in February?

I am thankful for… my family.  I had a wonderful time yesterday with everyone there!

From the learning rooms… It’s finally chicken-mummy week! I’ve wanted to do this for 6+ years!

From the kitchen… out for dinner tonight … maybe.

I am wearing… a new red and black shirt (with ruffles! Two items in my wardrobe now have them) and jeans.

I am creating… garden plans.

I am going… to run the dishwasher another time or two today … oops.

I am reading… a Heyer book, Keeping a Nature Journal, The Abolition of Man and 10 Ways are still in my reading queue as well.

I am hoping… that Jason’s back is feeling better and better.

I am hearing… dishwasher, children talking, M-girl repeating her Latin lesson as she’s watching on Jason’s computer with headphones on.

Around the house… that laundry still needs folded, but the Master bedroom is cleaned beautifully.

One of my favorite things… is the Super Bowl.  We don’t really watch the NFL, but I do like the Super Bowl every year.

A few plans for the rest of the week: choir should actually start tomorrow, gym, bounce house for the children and N-boy is going to see a play with my parents on Thursday.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… … maybe later …

  1. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Dawn. I'd like to see you in the pretty ruffle shirt. Maybe post a picture? 🙂
(And sometime later I'd like to hear about the latin lessons on the computer.)

  2. Happy birthday! 🙂 I should think about a garden, too, but I think it might be limited to some containers on the deck, with the baby coming. I'm interested in how the chicken mummy turns out, and if it's as gross as it sounds. 🙂 A did an apple and orange one ("Pharaoh Fruitankhamen").

  3. Hah! Didn't even know you could do fruit instead of a chicken! 🙂

Happy, happy birthday! 🙂 Wish I was there to celebrate with you!
