Went to Thurman’s for lunch. Definitely a legendary restaraunt in Columbus although I’d never been there. I had a bleu-cheese burger (my favorite), but it wasn’t what I had expected. It had salad dressing bleu-cheese and mozzarella over that on a burger that, cooked, was the size of both of my fists put together. It was really good. As for ambiance, think “hole in a wall” – maybe 8 -10 tables in the place, stuff everywhere on the walls and ceilings, dark, and the cleanliness was debatable. The service wasn’t great – it took us 45 minutes to be served, and about 1-1/2 hours to drive, eat, and leave. Definitely worth it.
Since we were so late anyway, and one of our compatriots is from out of town, we decided to go to Graeter’s on our way back to the office for ice cream. Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip (more like Chocolate Chunk – huge chunks of chocolate) – yummmmmmmmm.
