Weekly Report; 6/20/11-6/24/11
We had a good, albeit unusual week.
We finished reading Stuart Little aloud. We’ve read most of Mary Pope Osbourne’s Story of the Odyssey. We’re working diligently on The Phantom Tollbooth.
We finished the Old Testament in our reading of Vos’ Story Bible.
We played a lot of Qwirkle.
Grammy visited and played and played.
We finished Cluckenbalmen (finally)
Spiced with cinnamon and allspice. |
Glue, water and cheesecloth. I wouldn’t recommend cheesecloth. |
It fell apart too much, so I had to do the wrapping. |
But we got it wrapped. |
Happily, the children painted our sarcophagus! |
All ready for burial. However that might end up working LOL. |
and made coats of many colors.
They found painting with the shirt leaning against the chair back worked best. |
We’ve had a great week.
Looks like lots of fun! Love coats of many colors. LOL!
I am really looking forward to mummifying a chicken!! Looks like a fun week 🙂
Looks really cool! It's fun to have weeks like that- ones filled with projects & finishing things.
We are studying the ancients next year. We might have to try mumifying Mr. chicken. That is right up David and Hope's alley!
