The Simple Woman’s Daybook for September 9, 2013
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it’s hot. Like August. But in September.
I am thinking…about our busy week.
I am thankful…that it’s quiet time for five more minutes.
In the kitchen…pancakes and bacon for dinner!
I am wearing…khaki shorts and purple, flowery top.
I am creating…the kids’ shrinky-dink stained glass window.
I am going…to soccer practice.
I am wondering…how the rest of the day will go.
I am reading…Have His Carcase by Sayers
I am hoping…that we can go to the fair next week for Jason’s birthday.
I am looking forward to…soccer games.
I am learning…that success breeds success.
Around the house…I vacuumed this morning but need to fold laundry and iron. Kinda desperately.
I am pondering…folding laundry and ironing.
A favorite quote for today… “Spoon feeding in the long run teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.” ― E.M. Forster
One of my favorite things…watching The Barefoot Contessa. Love her cooking.
A few plans for the rest of the week… soccer, ice skating, piano lessons (again, had makeups this morning), Titus 2 group, local homeschool support group (maybe).
A peek into my day…
