FOR TODAY

Outside my window… it’s a dark and rainy night.

I am thinking… I’m glad it didn’t start raining until after the soccer games.

I am thankful…
for my wonderful husband and the fact that he’s now the same age as I am again.

In the kitchen…
pot roast for dinner.  Yay for fall foods!

I am wearing…
khaki shorts and a blue top. It was chilly on the soccer field!

I am creating… signs for the women’s retreat.  Need to get on that.

I am going… to the Presbytery of Ohio’s Women’s Retreat this weekend.

I am wondering… how it will go.

I am reading… The Secret of Contentment by William Barcley.

I am hoping… to finish it before the retreat.

I am looking forward to… um, I don’t want to be too redundant …

I am learning… about Wild China with the children.

Around the house… there’s work to be done.

I am pondering… Never Gone by Laurel Garver.

A favorite quote for today… “We easily forget God and pursue the things of the world, which in themselves never satisfy but only leave us longing for more.” William Barcley in The Secret of Contentment

One of my favorite things… crockpot cooking

A few plans for the rest of the week…
a couple of quiet days at home.  That sounds really pleasant.
