The Simple Woman’s Daybook for September 16, 2013

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… the bucolic sounds of the local county fair(lawnmower racing, anyone?)

I am thinking…that it’s the last day of the year I’m married to a younger man.

I am thankful…for my wonderful husband.

In the kitchen…ravioli and zucchini coins in the oven. Soccer practice soon!

I am wearing…blue t-shirt and jeans(!)

I am creating…lists. It would be better if I wrote them down.

I am going…to the fair.

I am wondering…how much it will warm up later this week.

I am reading…that’s a good question. I finally finished my Sayers book. I haven’t decided what’s next.

I am hoping…soccer practice goes well … N-boy scored two goals on Saturday! Looking for a big year from him.

I am looking forward to…fair food, projects, animals … hooray!

I am learning…about my children and their individual personalities and needs.

Around the house…I need to get things under control.

I am pondering…Anne of Green Gables birthday parties …

A favorite quote for today…

One of my favorite things…frozen ravioli on soccer night.

A few plans for the rest of the week…school, fair & Jason’s 40th!, Bible Study (I have to teach, eep), soccer, it’s a light week.

A peek into my day…watching the Buckeyes beat Cal!

  1. Are you thinking about kids' personalities generally or in a Myers-Briggs sort of way? I go through M-B phases and am in one right now. 🙂

    1. I have issues with M-B. I always test as E/INFP (Right on the border of E&I), *but* everyone I know who reads about M-B agrees that it is a bad descriptor of me. Jason's INTJ is spot on, it's almost as though they defined it after meeting him.

I suspect the children are all much more E than either of us are, although M-girl has some I tendencies.
