The Simple Womans Daybook for October 1, 2012

FOR TODAY

Outside my window…it’s overcast and the sky is lightening with sunrise.

I am thinking… about the day at hand.

I am thankful… for my wonderful husband.

In the kitchen… split pea soup and bread.  Yum.

I am wearing… jeans, green long-sleeved tshirt and matching sweatshirt.

I am creating… not much.

I am going… to the library and Wal-mart.  Books and dishwasher soap. 

I am wondering… what projects we’ll do today.

I am reading… A Severe Mercy.  I’m almost done.

I am hoping… Jason feels better.  Nasty cold 🙁

I am looking forward to… M-girl’s birthday in a couple of weeks.  Eight!

I am learning… about joy.

Around the house… you don’t really want to know.

I am pondering… joy.  I’m not the most “up” or “cheery” person you’ve ever met.  Am I projecting the joy of being a Christian? I often wonder about being intentional about behaviors that should naturally flow from submission to Christ.  Is that cheating? or is that working out salvation with fear and trembling? is it showing that you aren’t in Christ if you mold yourself because that’s how you think you ought to be instead of what?  Aren’t you glad you asked?

One of my favorite things… Apple Cider.  I’ve been enjoying some this fall already 🙂

A few plans for the rest of the week… it’s still soccer season.  We have snacks for a game tonight.  We have soccer and chorus and piano this week.
