FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it’s sunny with blue skies. Birds are chirping.
I am thinking… about our week.
I am thankful… for our church and its pastors, officers, and congregants.
In the kitchen… there are bagels for breakfast. A treat.
I am wearing… jeans, and a brown long sleeved t-shirt.
I am creating… clean laundry. The washer is running even as we speak. Now to create ironed clothing …
I am going… to soccer.
I am wondering… if we’ll get to play games this weekend. The fields have been flooded the last two Saturdays :(
I am reading… bits of this and that. Nothing very specific at the moment and I’m not finishing everything. I’ve most recently read two chapters from Tending the Heart of Virtue and loving it. I think I’m going to grab my copy of Hidden Art to read with Cindy.
I am hoping… to get some lessons done this morning. We were home late from church last night and the children are still asleep at almost 8 am.
I am looking forward to… piano recital tomorrow night! We have to miss soccer practice and the first coach pitch baseball practice, but the recital should be fun!
I am learning… about my Lord.
Around the house… we made an effort to clean pretty well when games were cancelled over the weekend. The kids rooms could use some attention, though.
I am pondering… yesterday‘s powerful sermon about what Christ’s dead body says to us. About how his death can be an assurance of forgiveness that we can know deep in our being. I’ll try to link it here when it’s posted.
A favorite quote for today… “I thought myself important when I was 3.” N-boy, Age 7. I assured him that he was still important 😉
One of my favorite things… we have recently started returning for evening worship, and while Sundays are longer and Mondays are harder because of this, it has truly been a blessing to us and to our family.
A few plans for the rest of the week… soccer and piano recitals. I have no idea when we’re going to get grocery shopping done. Maybe Friday. Need food before then, though.
A peek into my day… from our trip to the Kalahari Resort:
