The Simple Woman’s Daybook for March 18, 2013
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it is dark and after my bedtime.
I am thinking… that I have the most wonderful husband.
I am thankful… that he seems to have repaired my computer! Huzzah!
In the kitchen… potato hash with sausage and eggs. Yum.
I am wearing… black sweat pants and Buckeye sweatshirt and my Buckeye slippers.
I am creating… my NCAA bracket selections. In the morning.
I am going went to … soccer practice. And so it begins.
I am wondering… how tomorrow will go …
I am reading… I’m listening to The Iliad and reading the fourth (?) Wimsey novel – something about the Belladona Club. I’m not very far, but it’s good.
I am hoping… to keep up with the edX course I started: The Ancient Greek Hero.
I am looking forward to… the Cincinnati Homeschool Convention! Woo-Hoo!
I am learning… about meta narratives and micro narratives and epic Greek poetry.
Around the house… our dryer died, so new set coming Wednesday.
I am pondering… going back to reading in Norms & Nobility. All this ‘hero’ study must be related to Ideal Types …
A favorite quote for today… “Go to bed.”
One of my favorite things… I’m loving The Iliad. Never read it, but it’s beautiful.
A few plans for the rest of the week… piano lessons, dinner with N-boy and my dad. The girls are going to a play with my mom, Jason has a meeting. I need to go grocery shopping sometime in the next couple of days, too.
A peek into my day… I posted earlier before the computer was fixed, my little one lost her first tooth!
