The Simple Woman’s Daybook for June 24, 2013

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… sunny and hot.  The blinds are closed trying to keep the a/c in.

I am thinking…
about our busy week which is slower than our last week.

I am thankful…
for the amazing women who wrote, designed, and ran our VBS last week.

In the kitchen…
I really, really need to plan our meals and go to the grocery store.  I don’t know when.

I am wearing…
denim shorts and yellow top.  Did I mention that it’s hot?

I am creating… some mental changes to Circle Time.  I think our review process needs a drastic change.

I am going… to try to get gasoline in the van on the way to baseball.

I am wondering… if I’m going to catch up with my Hidden Art reading …

I am reading… a newly published book called “How to Teach Your Children Shakespeare” I’m finding it both interesting and informational.  And its not too difficult of reading.  And -miracle of miracles – my library had it.  Not Christian (I think he misses some things because of that), but helpful.

I am hoping… that tomorrow is a better school day … we’ve been so irregular with lessons in June that it’s almost like starting a new year.

I am looking forward to… swim lessons in July.  The kids haven’t ever taken them.

I am learning… about Shakespeare.

Around the house… there are K’Nex all over the family room floor.  Huh.

I am pondering… not much … too busy to ponder.

A favorite quote for today…

One of my favorite things… is Trader Joe’s Cocoa Almond Spread on their Old-Fashioned Cinnamon Grahams. Yum.

A few plans for the rest of the week…
school and baseball.

A peek into my day…
reading time was the best part of the day.  By a long shot.

(See the K’Nex?)
