The Simple Woman’s Daybook for July 30, 2012
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… I think it’s sunny and pretty nice at the moment.
I am thinking… my children should have slept more this morning and not gotten up in the middle of the night.
I am thankful… for the nice weekend we had together.
In the kitchen… I need to empty the dishwasher.
I am wearing… jammies 🙂
I am creating… not a lot.
I am going… to the grocery this evening.
I am wondering… what all we’ll get done today for school.
I am reading… A Circle of Quiet by Madeleine L’Engle. It’s wonderful!
I am hoping… to get a lot done today.
I am looking forward to… more Olympics!
I am learning… about prayer.
Around the house… let’s not talk about that. K?
I am pondering… chores and children.
A favorite quote for today…
“The compulsion for me to get my cotton-pickin’ fingers on my fellow man is the natural belief that I have the word. If I do have the word and feel surrounded by unmolded clay, I have no choice, I begin playing God, and as a result usually raise the devil.” GA Young as quoted by Madeleine L’Engle in A Circle of Quiet
One of my favorite things… The Olympics! I love the spectacle and the competition and everything.
A few plans for the rest of the week… M-girl gets to go with Grammy overnight two nights! [ack]
A peek into my day… no trip to the fair is complete without ice cream!
