FOR TODAY
Outside my window… It is sunny and H-O-T, hot. Or will be.
I am thinking… about swapping over laundry. The timer just binged.
I am thankful… for my new washer and dryer. They do a great job, are bigger than the old ones, and have a timer that plays a cheery little tune (my old pair had no timer at all).
In the kitchen… it is time to head for groceries!
I am wearing… orange and pink sleeveless top and khaki shorts.
I am creating… a cleaner house. I cleaned up the loft (school room) and finished the main floors this morning.
I am going went… to swim lessons this morning.
I am wondering… if the children are just tired.
I am reading… The Five Red Herrings by Dorothy Sayers. I’m finally getting into the mystery, just like the magistrate in the book, now that it’s a confirmed murder.
I am hoping… to finish it soon.
I am looking forward to… family reunion this weekend.
I am learning… about Job. Our pastor’s sermons over the past few weeks have been incredibly helpful.
Around the house… things are pretty cleaned up. My husband still needs some shirts ironed, though.
I am pondering… our school day. Wondering how it will go …
A favorite quote thought for today… Prophets help us to see the ugliness of our sin and contrast it with the Lord’s beauty. (a takeaway from the sermon, only that’s not really what he said …)
One of my favorite things… swim lessons. 45 minutes of time to sit and read. I need to take in my chair so I can sit in the shade, though …
A few plans for the rest of the week… swim lessons, family reunion, the last t-ball game of the year.
A peek into my day… don’t have one today …
