The Simple Woman’s Daybook for January 27, 2014
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… the sun is starting to light the clouds aglow.
Praising God… for a warm, dry home.
I am thinking… starting our school day.
I am thankful… for safety yesterday driving to church, my parents’ home, and our home.
In the kitchen… sweet potato sausage hash was a delicious breakfast. Hoping it sticks with us.
I am wearing… jeans and a sweater.
I am creating… a grocery list.
I am going… to the grocery store.
I am wondering… if our plans for the week will be affected by the cold weather.
I am reading… The Narnian by Alan Jacobs and Perelandra by C S Lewis. Still the same. Still both quite good.
I am hoping… to finish both this week (again).
I am looking forward to… my nephew’s first birthday party. Can’t believe he’s going to be one!
I am learning… about
CS Lewis’ search for Joy as Alan Jacobs understands it. Interesting to
see it show up in Perelandra so shortly after reading it in the The
Narnian.
Around the house… vacuuming and straightening. Supposed to dust the loft today …
I am pondering… Christ as priest. Adam as priest. Excellent sermon yesterday.
A favorite quote for today…
One of my favorite things… spending time with Jason.
A few plans for the rest of the week… basketball, Art with Friends, piano. Should be busy! 🙂
A peek into my day…
Sweet potatoes, planned-over sausage and peppers, chives. Yum. |
