The Simple Woman’s Daybook for February 2, 2015
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it’s still dark, although I can tell that it won’t be for long … the sky has that dark, navy blue color that shows the sun is almost ready to rise. There’s a dog barking and cars occasionally driving past. The city is starting to stir.
I am thankful… that the weather yesterday wasn’t as bad as had been predicted. We got a small percentage of the expected snow.
I am wearing… pajamas, but plan to wear jeans and a sweater later.
I am creating… a menu plan and grocery list. What should we have for dinner this week?
I am going… to a Retreat Committee Meeting and then hang out with my friend Amanda. Can’t wait! Aw, woke with a sick kid. Canceled plans for today.
I am wondering… how school will go this morning. Everyone is dragging after playing late after church last night.
I am reading… For the Children’s Sake and Start Here for our new Charlotte Mason Group. Anna is doing a great job coordinating it! We meet for the first time next Monday and I’m really trying to have my homework done. I’m bad at that, pray for me 🙂
I am hoping… we get a lot done this morning.
I am looking forward to… visiting with Amanda. In the fall we saw each other more because our kids were in the same homeschool choir. I’ve missed that.
I am learning… about the ramifications of the idea that children are born persons.
Around the house… [sigh] I really ought to vacuum.
I am pondering… CS Lewis’ conversion to Christianity. Jacobs does a fantastic job in this chapter of The Narnian … come back and join us!

A few plans for the rest of the week… just the normal, school, basketball, piano lessons – no organ -turning 42.
A peek into my day… I could get used to supervising while M-girl cooks.
