The Simple Woman’s Daybook for February 18, 2013
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it’s dark. Late.
I am thinking… I should have done this earlier today, but better late than never.
I am thankful… for a day off with my husband.
In the kitchen… hidden in the pantry are some chocolate mint cookies. I should go get one.
I am wearing… jeans and a black shirt. I did have on one of those oversized brown sweaters with a belt at the waist. Thanks to my MIL.
I am creating… new habits.
I am going… to make bluebird boxes on Wednesday, Lord willing.
I am wondering… how lessons will go tomorrow. It was late tonight.
I am reading… The Fruitful Wife. But! I finished, today, The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert by Rosaria Butterfield and think you should read it too.
I am hoping… in Christ.
I am looking forward to… bedtime. Tired.
I am learning… about my sin, prayer, and Christ’s intercession for me.
Around the house… I need to spend a little time and attention in several areas.
I am pondering… Rahab’s conversion. Rosaria’s conversion. My conversion. What does each story mean in their similarities or differences? How Christ calls his people in the way they need to be called. How good he is!
A favorite quote for today… “None of us can get ourselves home from the grocery store with our brains and bodies intact. Yet we act as though we can. We take our lives for granted, when all of us know better where we keep our silent secrets hidden from our own eyes.” Sally S Wright in Code of Silence
One of my favorite things… Back to Nature Chocolate Mint cookies 😉
A few plans for the rest of the week… bluebird boxes, Bible Study, soccer, school.
A peek into my day…
