The Simple Woman’s Daybook for April 3, 2017
For Today…
Looking out my window … the grass is turning that lush springtime green.
I am thinking … about too many things at once.
I am thankful … for the Youth Rally that was held over the weekend at church. M-girl had a wonderful time and learned so much. She’s really dragging today, though.
One of my favorite things … luncheons at church – we at really well yesterday.
I am wearing … jeans and the top in my profile picture. We’re going to a play this afternoon: Anne of Green Gables.
I am creating … soccer schedule charts. Always fun.
I am watching … a play this afternoon. So exciting.
I am hoping … I stay awake for the play. I chaperoned Friday night so I’m not at my best, either.
I took this full bag of work and did none of it! |
I am learning … about consistent homeschooling.
In my kitchen … let’s not think about this, please.
In the school room … we are finishing the last year of AmblesideOnline Year 5. Next week is Break Week. Woo-hoo!
A moment from my day … Saturday Night dinner was grilled burgers … yum!
Closing Notes … I’m so excited about the new Homeschool Consistency Boot Camp that’s ramping up this week from Pam Barnhill. We ran the Beta in the fall and have added a ton of help and resources this spring. I get to work behind the scenes and with our participants via Facebook. It’s such an exciting and helpful program. We’d love to have you join us!! (Full disclosure: I’m not an affiliate, but Pam pays me for work I do for her, so I get some benefit if you decide to purchase. Generally, that income pays for my kids’ music classes and other extra curriculars.)
Linking up with The Simple Woman.
I feel a kindred spirit with you since we are practically on the same schedule as your family. We finished our Year 5 two weeks ago and are gearing up to start a new year next week. I also want to become more consistent-I have been praying that for myself with this new year starting. I struggle with that because we are foster parents also and I allow the appointments to start crowding out our school time.
Your Saturday night dinner looks delicious. We homeschool too, and there is definitely something to be said for consistency and a sense of rhythm – whether it's daily, weekly, or monthly.
Sounds like you have a blessed life! That food looks good!
