The Springsteen concert was great despite somewhat crappy seats behind the stage which often made it difficult to understand what was being sung, and spoken words were completely unintelligible.

Perhaps the coolest part was mixing “Hang on Sloopy” into “Glory Days” … and they played “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” after audience members started throwing Santa hats onstage. The un-coolest part was the concert starting almost 50 minutes late – posted time had been 7:30, they didn’t get started until 8:20 🙁

For those of you who don’t understand, “Hang on Sloopy” is the state of Ohio Rock ‘n Roll song. It is a favorite of the crowd when The OSU Marching Band plays it at football and basketball games … pretty cool to do the O-H-I-O part of the song to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. It was obviously woven in just for Ohio dates (maybe even Columbus?) as the Buckeyes are preparing to play in the Fiesta Bowl.
