The Simple Woman’s Daybook for September 19, 2011

FOR TODAYSeptember 19, 2011 (really?!?)…

Outside my window… rainy and grey.

I am thinking… we may not make it to the fair this year.

I am thankful… for the perfect afternoon we had yesterday at the park.

From the learning rooms… we read about the Minoans this morning, King Minos and the Minotaur.

In the kitchen… Black Pepper Ice Cream for Jason’s birthday … definitely strain it if you try it! (the flavor is surprisingly good … the chunks of peppercorns, not so much!)

I am wearing… jeans shorts

I am creating… not a lot.  Should be working on those Christmas presents …

I am going… to have a busy week … retreat this weekend!

I am wondering… how to get everything done.

I am reading… Desiring the Kingdom

I am hoping… to finish some other started books.

I am looking forward to… retreat!

I am hearing… silence.  Love Quiet Time.

Around the house… don’t ask.

I am pondering… a nice cup of tea and a nap.
