The Simple Woman’s Daybook for September 12, 2011
FOR TODAY January 12, 2011 …
Outside my window… cool and sunny. Autumn seems to have arrived.
I am thinking… that I wish I weren’t so tired.
I am thankful… for my children.
From the learning rooms… clay bowls, work on our Egyptian Death Mask, and a library trip.
In the kitchen… baked chicken, a family favorite.
I am wearing… jeans shorts and blue polo.
I am creating… still working on those Christmas presents.
I am going… to the library.
I am wondering… how late some of our books are. Thankful they don’t charge late fees.
I am reading… The Pleasures of Reading in An Age of Distraction by Alan Jacobs. It’s wonderful, too!
I am hoping… in Jesus.
I am looking forward to… soccer games this week. R-girl and N-boy both played amazing games on Saturday.
I am hearing… children bargaining over stickers.
Around the house… oh, that laundry. But we caught up on the cleaning stuff this morning.
I am pondering… how, what, and why I read.
One of my favorite things… quiet.
A few plans for the rest of the week: soccer and piano and retreat committee (I think).
Here is picture for thought I am sharing… R-girl scored 4 goals on Saturday (we’re not supposed to keep score … )

I always laughed at the "not keeping score" b/c the children ALWAYS knew who won! 😉
