The Simple Woman’s Daybook for November 28, 2011

FOR TODAY November 28, 2011 … 27 days until Christmas …

Outside my window… rainy, but warmish.

I am thinking… that I stayed up way way too late last night.

I am thankful… it isn’t snowing yet.

From the learning rooms… Yuletide Session started!  My Mother in Law got us a copy of Jotham’s Journey to read, so I’ve added that to our readings, too.

In the kitchen… Jason’s hunting so food will be kiddie food … Mac and Cheese tonight [grin]

I am wearing… jeans and Buckeye t-shirt.

I am creating… gotta get back on those Christmas presents …

I am going… to take the children to the Muppets at The Strand this afternoon.  [shhhh … it’s a secret]  Come to think of it, maybe we’ll Bob Evans tonight …

I am wondering… if we’ll get everything done.  We did our readings for our Jesse Tree, but don’t yet have a Jesse Tree and there’s a lot of cleaning to be done …

I am reading… [sigh] North and South.  It has to get better, but I’m not loving it.  I’m far enough in, though, that I don’t want to give up.

I am hoping…  North and South gets significantly better. 

I am looking forward to… Jason coming home!

I am hearing… Jars of Clay’s Christmas album and two children playing Sequence for Kids 🙂

Around the house… need to deep clean and organize before getting a tree on Saturday.

I am pondering… “Mommy, why do we start Christmas studies with creation?”  Love those kiddo questions.

One of my favorite things… Christmas lights.  We drove around a few extra parts of our neighborhood on our way home last night.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Bible Study!, cookie baking with my mom, Christmas tree, cleaning and decorating [yay!]
