The Simple Woman’s Daybook for March 12, 2012
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it is grey and rainy, but warm! My daffodils are most of the way up and have buds!
I am thinking… the groundhog was wrong this year.
I am thankful… that my brother and sister-in-law invited N-boy to go with them to the Air Force Museum for their son’s birthday.
In the kitchen… not cooking today!
I am wearing… jammies, but need to get dressed soon.
I am creating…lists for spring clothes shopping.
I am going… spring shopping and lunching with my mom and my daughters!
I am wondering… if we’ll find any good deals.
I am reading… Greeks & Romans Bearing Gifts, it goes quite nicely with the Russell Kirk.
I am hoping… to get the Russell Kirk read today, but I’m not sure when that might happen.
I am looking forward to… the Homeschool Convention – a little more than a month away!
I am learning… about the Roman systems of government.
Around the house… it could use some attention.
I am pondering… The Father and Christ’s love for one another and Christ’s love for his people and its outworking in Joy. (Great sermon yesterday!)
A favorite quote for today… Reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man, and writing an exact man. –Sir Francis Bacon
One of my favorite things… easing myself into DST. I don’t like DST, so I do like taking it slowly adjusting to it.
A few plans for the rest of the week… gotta get the baseball sign ups, library, dinner at the Shanks’ on Saturday.
A peek into my day…
