The Simple Woman’s Daybook for July 4, 2011
FOR TODAY July 4, 2011 …
Outside my window… it is overcast and someone is mowing.
I am thinking… about waking up.
I am thankful for… the freedoms afforded by Divine Providence through the founding fathers.
From the learning rooms… We’ll read about the Declaration of Independence today and Ancient China the rest of the week.
From the kitchen… grilled chicken, broccoli slaw, I’m not certain what else.
I am wearing… jammies. I just got up.
I am creating…
I am going… to a parade and fireworks. Maybe even letterboxing.
I am reading… in a year of great reads, Caring for Words in a Culture of Lies is one of my favorites.
I am hoping… to get some things accomplished today … better get moving.
I am hearing… children playing Qwirkle and someone mowing their lawn.
Around the house… things fell apart toward the end of the week. Time to get back on the wagon.
One of my favorite things… the Fourth of July!
A few plans for the rest of the week: include only one tball game. That’s all. We’ll probably hit the library, too.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
