FOR TODAY   Monday, July 18, 2011

Outside my window…
it’s hot hot hot

I am thinking… about the coming week.

I am thankful… that my children like to read 🙂

From the learning rooms… finish up Ancient China, start Ancient Africa.  Read about leaves.  Some art projects too.

In the kitchen… leftover Lemon Blueberry cake from the family reunion.  Next time I’ll use lemon yogurt instead of the plain yogurt I used instead of the sour cream 😉  Otherwise it was really yummy and the cream cheese glaze was easy and very good.

I am wearing… jeans shorts and black tank top.  I’ve got a red sleeveless blouse set out if we go anywhere …
I am creating… not much of anything.

I am going… pool? library? maybe both, maybe neither.

I am wondering… if I can sneak a morning nap in somehow …

I am reading… pretty much the same fare.  Didn’t read much last week, but got a lot done!

I am hoping… to do some ironing this afternoon.  Because it needs done, not because I wish to do it!

I am looking forward to… meeting Anna‘s baby and hope he comes *soon*

I am hearing… toy car garage and playing children.

Around the house… still need to work in the loft

I am pondering… paint colors and how to paint walls

One of my favorite things… quiet Monday mornings …

A few plans for the rest of the week: a much slower week this week.  Last tball game tomorrow.  No piano lessons because it’s our teacher’s first anniversary.  My Twentieth High School reunion – How’d that happen?

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

  1. I'm hoping/praying Anna's baby comes soon too! 🙂

Can you come iron here? It really needs done! What iron did you buy? i just bought a new one at Target ($40) & it broke. Need to invest in a good one.

We are thinking paint colors here too now that I have fabric for curtains for 2 of the rooms- know the basic color. Just need to go get it.

  2. Thanks for the tip, Mystie. We've been here almost 6 years now and not a wall has paint upon it [oops]

Part of the problem is that none of the rooms are very separate and walls span say from the foyer into the family room which is open to the kitchen which has a wall that spans back to the dining room. So, the walls have coordinate and extend between rooms. It's confusing …

No. I can't iron there, I have hours of ironing here! :p I bought the Singer Expert Finish Steam Iron ($60ish at Amazon) and so far I like it (as well as I can like any iron) It gets nice and hot, but I can control how hot easily, and it seems to be heavy enough without being too heavy.
