The Simple Woman’s Daybook for April 4, 2011
FOR TODAY April 4, 2011 …
Outside my window… it is getting dark after a day of thunderstorms
I am thinking… “Structure brings freedom” and “Pride turns virtue into vice.”
I am thankful for… a wonderful conference with good companions: Anna, Heather, and Jeanelle. Exhausting and encouraging.
From the learning rooms… catchup week after last week off; we’ll be doing lessons Wednesday through Friday instead of our usual routine.
From the kitchen… the refrigerator is looking a mite bare …
I am wearing… jeans and a red shirt. Worked on cleaning the basement today.
I am creating… nothing, really.
I am going… to watch some of the basketball game in a few minutes.
I am reading… The Essential Russel Kirk. I read an essay entitled “Why I am a Conservative” last night and was blown away.
I am hoping… that my sinuses will return to normal sooner rather than later.
I am hearing… the sump pump … often 🙁
Around the house… we almost have a moat! (OK, not really, but we do have a creek in the back yard, I think.)
One of my favorite things… the sump pump … not glamorous, but gets the job done 🙂
A few plans for the rest of the week: errands tomorrow instead of Thursday. Maybe we’ll have a backward week with lessons too. Just for fun 🙂
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

So, were the friends encouraging & exhausting… or the confrence? 😉
Can you send me that pic? Had a great time together- such a blessing to talk & learn new things!!! 🙂
Thanks Dawn for the great week. So encouraging!
