The Simple Woman’s Daybook for April 30, 2012

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… warm and sunny.  Gorgeous spring day for the children to enjoy swinging.

I am thinking…
about naptime.  I should be thinking about grocery shopping.

I am thankful…
for my niece who turned 4 over the weekend.

In the kitchen…
the dishwasher needs emptied!

I am wearing…
jeans and a purple flowered top.

I am creating… new science plans! We should finish our study of anatomy this week.

I am going… non stop again this week.  More soccer and coach pitch.  Which reminds me, I must call about tball …

I am wondering… if it will storm today.

I am reading… The Rich are Different by Susan Howatch.  Definitely an adult book, but I’ve learned a lot about Julius Caesar because of the reading.

I am hoping…

I am looking forward to… more soccer games … good thing I enjoy them!

I am learning… about Julius Caesar and Ancient Rome.

Around the house… our after school cleanup is still going well.

I am pondering… how to teach Astronomy.  I would like to make some changes from reading a textbook to teaching the information in a more complete way.

A favorite quote for today… “I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.” ~Martha Washington

One of my favorite things… hearing the swings creaking in the yard.

A few plans for the rest of the week…
need you really ask?

A peek into my day…

  1. We are studying astronomy this year. We use Apologia. There are a lot of activities and things to do although we don't always get to them. Science is not one of my favorite subjects 😉
We are busy with soccer too. I enjoyed your daybook today 🙂
