The Simple Woman’s Daybook for April 23, 2012
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… it is cool and light.
I am thinking… too many thoughts from the convention.
I am thankful… for the opportunity to learn from amazing educators like Andrew Kern, Susan Wise Bauer, Christopher Perrin, and Martin Cothran.
In the kitchen… I haven’t cooked for a while … grocering tonight!
I am wearing… black sweats and a Buckeye shirt … need to work on cleaning up the school room and house today.
I am creating… new routines. I think.
I am going… to Whole Foods.
I am wondering… how those new routines are going to look.
I am reading… For Liberty and Glory by James Gaines
I am hoping. Just hoping.
I am looking forward to… my niece’s fourth birthday party.
I am learning… about teaching truth and not being anxious.
Around the house… well, let’s not talk about that.
I am pondering… what I’m learning.
A favorite quote for today… “If your children are smart, praise God. If they do something virtuous, praise them.” Andrew Kern
One of my favorite things… coming home after being gone. “Me Mommy, me Mommy.” (R-girl)
A few plans for the rest of the week… soccer, coach pitch, piano, lessons, soccer, soccer, soccer.
A peek into my day…
