The Simple Woman’s Daybook for 11/14/2011
FOR TODAYMonday, November 14, 2011…
Outside my window… cold, rainy, I think I heard some sleet (ETA Jason tells me it’s 60 and I can’t have heard sleet … but maybe it was hail instead, I know I heard something more solid than rain).
I am thinking… it can’t be our last week of “school” yet
I am thankful… it is our last week of school until January.
From the learning rooms… review and close.
In the kitchen… I’m going for the chicken and biscuits we never had last week.
I am wearing… jammies. I’ll get dressed soon.
I am creating… Yuletide Session plans.
I am going… to the library.
I am wondering… what the children are doing; they’re supposed to be getting dressed & making beds.
I am reading… North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. It’s drearier than I expected.
I am hoping… to finish Mary Poppins by Saturday so we can read our traditional Thanksgiving read aloud then our Christmas read alouds without stopping in the middle like we did with The Jungle Book last year.
I am looking forward to… some of our exciting plans for Yuletide! Particularly a tour of the Statehouse.
I am hearing… children.
Around the house… gotta work on folding laundry!
I am pondering… Christ’s blessings as described in yesterday’s sermon.
One of my favorite things… our church. I find more and more that I look forward to Sunday mornings and worship.
A few plans for the rest of the week: library, choir, piano … LAST SCHOOL DAY for 2011!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing… sorry, none today …
