The Simple Woman’ Daybook for September 27, 2010

FOR TODAY   Monday September 27, 2010 …

Outside my window… it is raining and chilly and autumn has arrived.

I am thinking… about community and nourishing children’s souls and my sinfulness and the idols I create in my heart.

I am thankful for… the OPC where there is Godly preaching and teaching.  And especially for the Presbytery of Ohio Women’s Retreat this past weekend.

From the learning rooms… Back to Central Europe.

From the kitchen… I’d better figure out how to defrost the chicken I’m planning for supper (oops)

I am wearing… a pink striped 3/4 length sleeve blouse and a denim skirt.  Hooray for Autumn!

I am creating…

I am going… to go to coffee with Anna! Yay!

I am reading… Peacemaking Women by Tara Barthel (our speaker at the retreat)

I am hoping… in Christ.  So thankful that he forgives and remembers my sin no more.

I am hearing… children chattering at the table.

Around the house… I still need to unpack from the retreat and I really need to do laundry … wash new and fold it and old.  And iron.

One of my favorite things… retreats.  I miss my family, but the fellowship and encouragement is  wonderful.

A few plans for the rest of the week: oh, the usual.  Gym, soccer, choir.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
