The Simple Woman’ Daybook for September 13, 2010

FOR TODAY   September 20, 2010 …

Outside my window… is a perfect day to go to the fair! Not too hot, not too sunny, but pleasant.

I am thinking… that I would’ve liked to sleep a little longer, and Jason let me sleep until 8:30!

I am thankful for… a nice visit with Jason’s extended family yesterday; we had a great time! And that Jason has today off! Yay!

From the learning rooms… I bought one of the Classical Writing Primers from the Anna and I think I’m going to start M-girl with it this week … after the fair today!

From the kitchen… a week of making do from the pantry … should be fun and exciting.

I am wearing… jammies still, but soon clothes for the fair.

I am creating… singers, I awoke to “Jesus Loves Me” and have been serenaded by family members flipping through the hymnal.

I am going… everywhere, it seems. No days completely home this week. But I’m excited about the Retreat on Friday & Saturday!

I am reading… Jason got the Narnia books for his birthday (thanks, Mom!) so I might read those that I haven’t read yet. I’ve only read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, so that should keep me out of trouble.

I am hoping… to get everything integrated well this week.

I am hearing… “All Glory, Laud, and Honor”

Around the house… it’s about time for chores to be started … but I’m loathe to start.

One of my favorite things… children doing chores 😉

A few plans for the rest of the week: gym, soccer, choir, Ladies’ Retreat. Yay!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
(maybe a fair picture later …)

  1. I've always enjoyed attending a Fair…it is just too hot to go to outdoor things right now…my sister and I used to sing the hymnals and I still do that occasionally…I've begun reading the Narnia series..I enjoyed the first two but couldn't finish A Boy and his Horse..still have a few to go.
Have a good day at the Fair.
