The Simple Woman’ Daybook for May 3, 2010
FOR TODAY May 3, 2010…
Outside my window… It is bright and sunny. Lord willing, it will remain so … we don’t want M-girl’s soccer pictures/game canceled again!
I am thinking… about rearranging the school room.
I am thankful for… my husband, children, and extended family.
From the learning rooms… we’re starting our study of Europe this week. Trying to get back to full schedule.
From the kitchen… we have another busy week and I made a food plan that I need to re-work.
I am wearing… khaki shorts and a sleeveless red blouse. Hooray, spring!
I am going… to stay home a lot this week. Finally, a calmer week.
I am reading… Proverbs, John’s letters, Norms & Nobility [ha! I bet you don’t believe me!], A Sweet Flame, Homekeeping, and some other books still.
I am hoping… to cheer up.
I am hearing… WOSU and M-girl reading “K is for Kangaroo” in the CLP Nature Reader.
Around the house… the dishwasher is on its second run-through. I need to swap over the laundry too.
One of my favorite things… hearing M-girl read (and N-boy start to read!)
A few plans for the rest of the week: soccer, gym, Park Pals.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing… My boy loves chocolate ice cream; you think he’d prefer to eat it than wear it, though …

I love the picture of Nate!
I noticed you need cheering up…everything okay? Anything we can do to help? I hope the day brightens up for you!
Aw, thanks Amanda. I think nap time will work its magic on Garrett attitudes today 😉
Hope you all get a nap & thinks get better! 🙂 Oh, Nate!
Very nice post! Coming to your blog always brings back fond memories of the days when I was schooling my kiddos.
