The Simple Woman’ Daybook for May 17, 2010
FOR TODAY May 17, 2010…
Outside my window… rainy and grey skies darken the window.
I am thinking… about today’s lessons.
I am thankful for… grey skies and rain … for bringing green grass and flowers.
From the learning rooms… our lessons have been much less organized for the past month, but maybe more profitable.
From the kitchen… I hear the dogs enjoying their breakfasts.
I am wearing… my new denim skirt (on clearance for $9.99!) and a red blouse.
I am creating… memories for my children, sometimes that idea seems terrifying!
I am going… to eat some breakfast sometime soon. We have gym and soccer and other fun planned for the week.
I am reading… nothing much, [sigh]
I am hoping… to start reading again.
I am hearing… R-girl finishing going potty.
Around the house… lots of laundry in baskets.
One of my favorite things… the stainless steel half-sheet pans my brother gave me for my birthday. Nice and heavy, they clean up beautifully.
A few plans for the rest of the week: high school graduation party for a friend from church … is he really that old?!? Isn’t he like 10?!? Moving party for our recently ordained former intern.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

"our lessons have been much less organized for the past month, but maybe more profitable"… yep, me too!
"I am creating… memories for my children, sometimes that idea seems terrifying!"… DO SHARE!
"One of my favorite things… the stainless steel half-sheet pans my brother gave me for my birthday"… where did he get them?
LOVE the pic!
The memories are really just the day to day stuff … am I the kind of mom I want them to remember?
Kevin's dad has a restaurant supply store, I think he said they were like $3-4 and he got me 4 … woo-hoo!
I thought that pic was awesome! My mom took it; she had some of the field day supplies for her preschool at home and got them out to play. That ball is huge!
"Creating memories for my children"
I love that!
