The Simple Woman’ Daybook for March 15, 2010
FOR TODAY the Ides of March …
Outside my window… spring is springing, dogs are wrestling, rain is imminent.
I am thinking… about school
I am thankful … that I was able to go back to sleep after an hour of wakefulness and that the children allowed me to sleep in this morning.
From the learning rooms… we’ll start on the Caribbean today … Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Cuba!
From the kitchen… a birthday party this evening, so I don’t have to cook.
I am wearing… my denim skirt and a striped blouse.
I am creating… Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Cuba coloring pages.
I am going… to a birthday party for yet another 3 year old.
I am reading… Knowing and Teaching Primary Mathematics by Liping Ma (from Inter-Library-Loan) and Keeping House (borrowed from Amanda).
I am hoping… that spring will soon be here!
I am hearing… children laughing at the breakfast table.
Around the house… Jason is sleeping after working until 3 this morning.
One of my favorite things…our church’s Newcomer’s Brunch. All the new ladies who have come to our church since the last brunch are invited and we have a lovely time. It is this Saturday, and I’m hosting a table.
A few plans for the rest of the week: my parents are back from their adventures, so we can get back on schedule – hooray!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
Hosted by The Simple Woman’s Daybook
Do share about the math book! Sounds interesting… And that pic looks so COLD! Brrr! Glad it was you who had to clear a sidewalk! We've been enjoying our daffodils for weeks now- he, he, he!
I think that picture is from last winter, I just liked how M-girl was driving N-boy around 🙂 It isn't that cold here, the daffodils are poking up shoots out of the ground.
I will share about the book when I finish. It is not easy reading, but good reading.
