The Simple Woman’ Daybook for March 1, 2010

FOR TODAY   March 1, 2010…

Outside my window… the snow begins to melt and the puppy is tracking in mud.  Is it bad to wish it would remain frozen forever?

I am thinking… it feels good to sit down, we’ve been running hard today.

I am thankful for… the work that needs done.  (I have to keep telling myself this!)

From the learning rooms… we started our study of Brazil for this week.  Changes to the schedule are being made.

From the kitchen… chicken in the crockpot.  I need to get the rest of dinner started before we go to gym.  I’ll do that whilst the children do art.  I also cleaned out my first drawer for the “tour of kitchen drawer cleanout” begun today.  Tomorrow, the cooking utensil drawer!

I am wearing… sweat pants and t-shirt.  Gym class tonight, sadly, daybook happens on the same day.

I am creating… an update to the daily routine, science lesson plans, and, Lord willing, a clean desk.

I am going… to the gym, just like every Monday.

I am reading… Climbing Parnassus (is it lying if I intend to read it?), Redeeming Science, The Young Unicorns, Gardening books.  Thank goodness the Olympics are over!

I am hoping… that I’ll figure out a time to grocery shop 🙂

I am hearing… Jars of Clay “The Long Fall Back to Earth”; I was listening to CiRCE Institute’s talk on Beauty and I’m ruminating.

Around the house… dishwasher run, laundry running & caught up, kitchen almost cleaned, 1 drawer down, bathrooms swished & swiped, school done … as I said, busy day!

One of my favorite things… hearing M-girl singing from the loft 🙂

A few plans for the rest of the week: Bible Study week, and playdate with friends.  I don’t know when I’ll grocery shop; my Thursday babysitters are traveling!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… A boy and his dogs 🙂
