The Simple Woman’ Daybook for June 21, 2010

FOR TODAY June 21, 2010 … The first day of summer …

Outside my window… the sun is shining and the temperature is hot!

I am thinking… today is the perfect day for the pool.

I am thankful for… pool memberships 🙂 (are you noting a theme?)

From the learning rooms… starting back with just Circle Time after a three week break for our one week vacation …

From the kitchen… trying to make warm weather food … tonight? Cobb Salad

I am wearing… khaki shorts, blue and white sleeveless blouse.

I am creating… R-girl’s belated third birthday party at my parents’ tomorrow.

I am going…

I am reading… I don’t know. I read a bunch of novels in the past couple of weeks and have “caught up” on the 52 books in 52 weeks challenge, but haven’t chosen a new book yet.

I am hoping… in the blood of the lamb.

I am hearing… N-boy’s car noises.

Around the house… the washing machine is running, the dishwasher should be … and, horror of horrors, the coffee maker is broken! (Thankfully the espresso machine worked and I’m enjoying better coffee than I would have otherwise.)

One of my favorite things… the little espresso maker. It is one of the cheap Krups machines, but much better than nothing. My mocha this morning is yummy!
