The Simple Woman’ Daybook for July 5, 2010

FOR TODAY   July 5, 2010 …

Outside my window… blue skies, hot weather, playing children.

I am thinking… that I should do some laundry, check the ice cream, read the paper, but that what I really want to do is read my book.

I am thankful for… the freedoms God provided through the wisdom of our Founding Father, preserved via the perseverance of countless Americans, and protected by the courage of our Armed Servicemen.

From the learning rooms… We’ve been reading about Independence Day.

From the kitchen… Ice Cream is done.  Grilling supper tonight (too hot to cook inside!)

I am wearing… Jeans shorts, sleeveless orange tank under a red/white/orange hooded vest thing.

I am creating…  still working on those planning folders in my head.

I am going… nowhere tonight, but to the Sunbury parade this morning.

I am reading…  Elizabeth Peters’ The Curse of the Pharaohs and Redeeming Science.

I am hoping…

I am hearing… Brahms Piano Concerto No 2 & my children pretending to be Tullys.

Around the house… Jason is looking at bikes in the garage.  We’ve been given 2 kids bikes and he’s trying to figure out what is necessary to get them ride-able.

One of my favorite things…  Fireworks! Independence Day! Parades!

A few plans for the rest of the week: educating the children, going to the pool, babysitting my niece!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

  1. Ha. You struggle like I do; even though I had to do a few chores today (like laundry) I really wanted to be reading my book. Thankfully I made a little time for it.

I also am creating things in my head. Maybe next week I’ll work it into reality.

    Thanks for sharing your Daybook!

  2. Ah- our children pretend your kiddos are playing with them. 🙂 They'll have fun in August! 🙂
