The Simple Woman’ Daybook for January 3 , 2011

FOR TODAY   Monday, January 3, 2011…

Outside my window… the sun is shining and it is brrr cold.

I am thinking… that we have a busy week ahead.

I am thankful for… a new year.  And my sister’s new husband.  Praying they are blessed in their marriage.

From the learning rooms… lots of preparation this week.  Organization, straightening books, cleaning.

From the kitchen… enchiladas or chicken pot pie. I haven’t decided yet.

I am wearing… jammies, but soon jeans and a sweater.

I am creating… booklists for the year.

I am going… library, t-ball signups for N-boy and M-girl, hair cut for N-boy.

I am reading… Keeping House, The Abolition of Man, and The Jungle Book.  You can follow my books here.

I am hoping… to get a lot accomplished this week.

I am hearing… the children playing Skippity.

Around the house… we’re still enjoying our Christmas tree and it doesn’t feel like it is dominating the house the way our trees have in past years.

One of my favorite things… panettone had the end of this season’s for breakfast this morning.

A few plans for the rest of the week: piano, gym, planning and cleaning.  N-boy’s birthday and party.

  1. Sorry, Kelly.

Glad you like it [grin] I figured it was about time.

I also got my hair cut this morning 😉

  2. Hi! Saw your link on the January Daybook page and thought I'd drop by to take a peek. Beautiful background you have chosen…it provides a sense of peace so early in the morning :). Do tell, what did you end up making – enchiladas or chicken pot pie. I hope both!
    Have a great week.
    Peace,
    Taylor

  3. I ended up making Chicken Pot Pie … we'd had enchiladas recently and the family wanted pot pie. Easy decision that way 🙂
