The Simple Woman’ Daybook for February 28, 2011

FOR TODAY   Monday, February 28, 2011 …

Outside my window… it  is cold (but not bitterly) and wet (but no longer thunderstorming as it did for *hours* last night).

I am thinking… I’m going to try not to nap during Quiet Time today and maybe I’ll get a full night’s sleep.

I am thankful for… Electricity.  And the Sump Pump.

From the learning rooms… Finishing up Egyptians this week, I think.

From the kitchen… Flank steak and potatoes for dinner.

I am wearing… denim skirt, red and black blouse.

I am creating… grocery list and menu plan.

I am going… to the library and Meijer after Quiet Time … we’re almost out of milk.

I am reading… added Abyssinian.  I’m enjoying it so far.

I am hoping… to get some school stuff accomplished for tomorrow.

I am hearing… Mozart Symphony #36 in CK425.  Happy my TV tells me what is playing 🙂

Around the house… legos and cars about.  Children in bed.  Ah.

One of my favorite things… Sump Pump … keeps the basement from being flooded.

A few plans for the rest of the week: choir, gym, piano.  Shopping.  Library.  Nothing particularly extraordinary.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

  1. Oh, no! I was working on not napping yesterday. Didn't help as much as I had hoped 🙁

We're finished with the Old Kingdom. SOTW jumps around during the same time period. We'll also talk about China and Sumer and Abraham, for example, then back to Egypt later.
