The Simple Woman’ Daybook for February 14, 2011

FOR TODAY Valentine’s Day … a day of love …

Outside my window… it is warmer! but grey and windy. The ice is melting away revealing the ground.

I am thinking… about parts vs. whole. Which is greater, which is important. My conclusion so far: both. [argh]

I am thankful for… yesterday’s sermon from Psalm 121 that reminds me that the Lord keeps me.

From the learning rooms… checking Cluckembalmen.

From the kitchen… I’m making chocolate covered strawberries for the children. Shhh …

I am wearing… jeans and black sweater.

I am creating… sadly, Polly Pockets and Lego men. [sigh]

I am going… crazy with Polly Pockets and Legos.

I am reading… One Thousand Gifts and several other things.

I am hoping… to regain patience before lessons begin.

I am hearing… formerly happy children who are becoming frustrated with their Polly Pockets and Legos.

Around the house… laundry working kitchen needs cleared.

One of my favorite things… date nights with my husband. Yay for Valentine’s Day!

A few plans for the rest of the week: just the usual, gym, piano, choir, swimming.
