The Simple Woman’ Daybook for December 20, 2010

FOR TODAY   Monday, December 20, 2010 … five days before Christmas! …

Outside my window… it is cold, but not too windy, and not precipitating.  Good for Ohio during December.

I am thinking… I might never buy eggnog other than Trader Joe’s Chocolate Eggnog ever again.  YUM.

I am thankful for… Jason’s work that allows him 3 weeks of 3 day weekends 🙂

From the learning rooms… Silent Night 🙂

From the kitchen… enchiladas for dinner.

I am wearing… jeans and a long sleeved Buckeye shirt from the ’02 National Championship.

I am creating… wrapped presents. We took the children shopping for one another today, it is always fun to see what they choose for “each other.” [grin]

I am going went to the annual train ride/model train extravaganza today.  The children look forward to it, and every time we drive past (often), “There’s the train we rode!” can be heard from the backseat.  Thanks to Mr. Nourse who provides the event free of charge annually!

I am reading… Still working on Stapert’s book on the Messiah.  Very good.  Also a free download this month from Christian Audio.

I am hoping… I finish all the wrapping before Christmas day!

I am hearing… dishwasher and washing machine and dryer.  Hooray for my servants!

Around the house… there’s too much to accomplish this week! I’d like to clean and have everything just so.

One of my favorite things… naps.  I’m ready for one.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Christmas is coming! Christmas Eve with my family.  Christmas morning at home.  Christmas afternoon with Jason’s family.  The Lord’s Day should be quiet.  Then, Monday, Christmas with my family.  Busy busy.  We have piano lessons tonight for the last time on the 30 year old keyboard. Shhhh … don’t tell the children we got them a digital piano for Christmas and that’s what is hiding in the dining room under the blanket 🙂

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
