The Simple Woman’ Daybook for August 9, 2010
FOR TODAY Monday, August 9, 2010 …
Outside my window… it is hot and humid. Dog days of summer, indeed.
I am thinking… about how much there is to accomplish this week and how little time there is to accomplish it.
I am thankful for… good friends like the Tullys who let us come to their home last week.
From the learning rooms… shopping trips, Cedar Point, park preschooler class. Not much *in* the learning rooms this week, but a lot of learning going on 🙂
From the kitchen… Everyday Food’s Cashew Chicken for dinner. yu-um!
I am wearing… denim skirt and peachy eyelet blouse.
I am creating… an organized pantry and refrigerator. Oh, wait, I already did that!
I am going… well, already went …. to Target, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods. There was almost no meal prep food in the house … and we were out of milk!
I am reading… The Core. [hangs head in shame] Still. I’ll finish it … eventually.
I am hoping… to get the house cleaned really well this week.
I am hearing… washer and dryer. N-boy playing with the puppy.
Around the house… I’m wondering why the dogs are shedding so much in August?
One of my favorite things… my new mop. Never thought you’d hear me say such a thing did you? I bought it this morning and it has a scrub brush on one side and a mop head on the other. The handle could be a bit longer, but it did such a good job in the kitchen and dinette that I did the foyer (laundry & bath) too! I might not mind mopping so much with this one.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Cedar Point, babysitting my niece, swimming with my parents, church picnic. See what I mean?
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
