The Simple Woman’ Daybook for August 30, 2010

FOR TODAY   August 30, 2010 …

Outside my window… the hot weather is returning and the sun is shining.

I am thinking… about lessons for today.

I am thankful for… our church.

From the learning rooms… We’re studying the United Kingdom and Ireland this week.

From the kitchen… chicken fried rice tonight, I think.  We have leftover teriyaki chicken from last week.

I am wearing… sweat shorts and Buckeye tshirt (3 days to kickoff!)

I am creating… a new arrangement in the girls room.  Their bunk bed arrives tomorrow!

I am going… blissfully, nowhere!

I am reading… Norms & Nobility (I started over) and A Sweet Flame (a collection of Jonathan Edwards’ letters)

I am hoping…

I am hearing… children playing.

Around the house… laundry, etc.

One of my favorite things… freezing leftover coffee in ice cube trays so i can make iced coffee without watering down my coffee.

A few plans for the rest of the week: football! football! football!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

Must be in the front row!
Right behind home plate! Crazy.

  1. I love it when I can say that I'm going "blissfully, nowhere." It's hard to believe the way I'm on the road all the time, but I'm really a homebody!"

Chicken fried rice sounds delish! I sometimes make shrimp fried rice – now I'm hungry for it!

Enjoyed reading your post. May there be lots of football in your future for you to enjoy!
