My Mother-in-Law lent me her copy of Common Sense Christian Living quite a while ago and I’m just getting around to reading it. I’m enjoying it greatly (no big surprise), but this quote stood out to me (emphasis mine).

God’s way of doing things is the measuring stick given to us to measure ourselves by. We are not to use it to judge each othre, but to stand directly alone before God and to check up, time after time, on whether or not we are sincerely and practically serving and with the right motives

Boy, did I need to hear that! I find it far to easy to find fault with others rather than strenuously applying the Lord’s statues to my own self.
